Trust Wallet Cloud Privacy Notice
Last Updated: July 18, 2026
This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how Trust Wallet Cloud (“Trust Wallet Cloud”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects and processes your Personal Data (“you”, “your”) through our websites (including trustwalletcloud.com) and applications or other services (collectively, together with our websites and apps, our “Services”).
Trust Wallet Cloud is a self-custody wallet offered primarily as a progressive web app (PWA). We design the Services so that seed phrases, private keys and wallet passwords remain under your control and are not stored on our servers.
This Privacy Notice applies together with any terms of use, terms of business or other contractual documents we may publish, including agreements we may have with you. By using our Services or engaging with us, you acknowledge the collection, storage, processing and transfer of Personal Data as described in this Notice.
1. Our Relationship with You
Your right to privacy and the protection of your Personal Data is important to us. Trust Wallet Cloud is committed to privacy best practices, and we only collect data when it is necessary to provide our Services.
By using Trust Wallet Cloud’s Services — for example visiting our website, opening the wallet PWA, interacting with support channels, or participating in community forums — you acknowledge and accept the use, disclosure and procedures outlined in this Privacy Notice.
The following sections explain how we process your Personal Data as Data Controller for Trust Wallet Cloud.
2. Collection and Use of Your Personal Data
“Personal Data” is information that may identify an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. This includes information you provide voluntarily, information collected or created automatically in the course of providing our Services, or information you share when you contact us. Following data-minimisation principles, we endeavour to collect only what is necessary to provide the Services.
When you use our self-custody wallet
As a user of our wallet — whether in the browser or installed as a PWA — you can create or import wallet information that is stored locally on your device. We do not require an email address to create a self-custody wallet, and we do not store your seed phrase or private keys on our servers.
| Category of Personal Data | Types of Personal Data | Purpose of processing & Legal Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Wallet Information | Encrypted vault material, public wallet address, and related local settings. Wallet private keys / seed phrases remain stored locally on your device under your custody. | To deliver self-custody wallet services and enable you to unlock, manage and use your wallet. Legal basis: performance of a contract. |
| Transaction Information | Public blockchain data related to transactions you make or view — such as timestamps, public wallet addresses and amounts. | To display balances/history and facilitate transactions you request. Legal basis: performance of a contract. On-chain data is public by design. |
| Device & Usage Information | Device model, operating system, browser type, language setting, app/PWA installation information. IP address may be processed only on a transient basis for traffic routing / regulatory localisation and is not retained as a profile identifier. | To deliver, secure and improve the Services and user experience. Legal basis: legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services. |
When you visit our website
When you use our website, request support or interact with campaigns, you may provide Personal Data. We do not ask for your seed phrase for these purposes.
| Category of Personal Data | Types of Personal Data | Purpose of processing & Legal Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Contact Information | Information you choose to provide when contacting us (for example an email address). | To communicate with you for support and assistance. Legal basis: performance of a contract / legitimate interests. |
| Preference Information | Language preference and cookie consent choice stored locally in your browser. | To remember your preferences and respect your consent choices. Legal basis: consent and/or legitimate interests. |
| Device & Usage Information | Browser type, language, time zone and similar technical data. IP may be processed transiently for routing and security. | To deliver and enhance the website experience and protect the Services. Legal basis: legitimate interests. |
Biometric authentication (optional)
Where available on your device, you may enable biometric unlock (for example Face ID or fingerprint) as a convenient way to unlock the local wallet vault. Biometric data is processed by your device’s operating system security features and is not transmitted to our servers.
Personal Data collected automatically
In certain circumstances we may collect device, log and usage data automatically when you use our Services, in accordance with applicable laws. This helps us enhance your experience, provide support, improve performance, detect abuse and protect the Services.
IP addresses may be processed briefly for traffic routing, localisation for regulatory compliance, and establishing secure connections with third-party platforms you choose to use. We do not retain IP addresses to build advertising profiles.
Aggregated and anonymized data
We may use aggregated or anonymized data to improve our Services — for example analysing general usage trends without identifying individuals. Such data may be shared with trusted providers or partners for analytics, security or business development, without revealing Personal Data.
5. International Transfer of Personal Data
We may use servers hosted by trusted service providers, and your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. We may also transfer Personal Data to affiliates, partners and providers in other countries.
Where we transfer Personal Data internationally, we implement appropriate technical, organisational and contractual safeguards — which may include Standard Contractual Clauses — to ensure an adequate level of protection as required by applicable law.
6. Data Security
Information security is a crucial component of privacy. Although no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed entirely secure, we employ commercially reasonable physical, technical and organisational measures to protect Personal Data from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
If you are a self-custody wallet user, remember that your seed phrase / private keys are stored locally on your device under your control. Enable device passcodes and wallet unlock protection, and never share your recovery phrase with anyone — including anyone claiming to represent Trust Wallet Cloud.
We reference industry security and privacy management practices aligned with standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 where applicable to our operations and certifications displayed on our site.
7. Data Retention
We keep Personal Data for as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfil the purposes described in this Notice, comply with legal obligations (for example tax or accounting), resolve disputes, or as otherwise communicated to you.
When we no longer have a legitimate business or legal need to retain Personal Data, we delete or anonymise it — or, if deletion is not immediately possible (for example backups), we securely isolate it until deletion is possible.
Even if you clear local wallet data, uninstall the PWA, or request deletion, blockchain networks are public and decentralised. On-chain records generally cannot be erased, so the right to erasure may not be fully enforceable for blockchain data.
8. What Privacy Rights Do You Have?
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights in relation to your Personal Data. These rights may be limited in some situations — for example where we have a legal obligation to retain data.
- Right to access: obtain a copy of Personal Data we hold about you and information about its processing.
- Right to correct: request rectification of inaccurate Personal Data or completion of incomplete records.
- Right to erase: request erasure where Personal Data is no longer necessary for the purposes collected (subject to legal exceptions).
- Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
- Right to restrict processing: request temporary restriction of processing in certain cases.
- Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Right to portability: request Personal Data in a structured, commonly used format where technically feasible.
To exercise your rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond as quickly as practicable and explain if we cannot fulfil a request (unless prohibited by law).
9. Children
Our Services are not directed to children. Users must be at least eighteen (18) years old. We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to persons under 18. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we become aware that we collected Personal Data from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it unless legally required to keep it.
10. Conditions of Use, Notices and Revisions
If you choose to use our Services, your use and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Notice and any applicable Terms of Use. You also have the right to contact your local Data Protection Authority.
We may update this Notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Please review this Notice regularly. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, where permitted by law.
11. Privacy Team Contact Information
For privacy-related questions about Trust Wallet Cloud, contact us through the support channels published on trustwalletcloud.com. Please note that privacy channels may not be able to handle general product-support requests.
